Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of BRONTIR Web Data (the "Service"), provided by BRONTIR OÜ ("BRONTIR", "we", "us"), a private limited company registered in Estonia under registry code 16804491, with registered office at Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, Kesklinna linnaosa, 10115 Tallinn, Harju maakond, Estonia. By connecting to or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind it.

1. The Service

BRONTIR is an MCP server that, on your instruction — typically through an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT — searches and retrieves publicly accessible web and platform content and returns structured, sourced results. It includes tools to collect, read, analyse, and run code (ExecuteCode) on that data.

2. Eligibility and accounts

To use the Service you register an account with your email address and a password, or by signing in through a supported third-party provider (such as Google). You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • access content you are not authorised to access, or circumvent authentication, paywalls, access controls, or technical protection measures;
  • violate the terms of service, acceptable-use policies, or technical restrictions (including robots directives) of any third-party site or platform you instruct the Service to access;
  • collect or process personal data unlawfully, including in violation of the GDPR or other applicable data-protection law;
  • infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of any person;
  • conduct unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive activity, unlawful surveillance or profiling, spam, or harassment;
  • introduce malicious code or attempt to breach security via ExecuteCode; or overload, disrupt, probe, reverse-engineer, or exceed the rate limits of the Service.

You are solely responsible for your instructions, for your use of retrieved content, and for downstream compliance. You will comply with all applicable laws and applicable third-party terms.

4. Third-party content; no warranty of accuracy

The Service retrieves third-party content that we do not own or control. Such content, and any citations, are provided "as is"; we do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, legality, availability, or fitness for any purpose, and source availability or platform behaviour may change. You must independently verify results before relying on them.

5. Your content and intellectual property

You retain all rights to the instructions and data you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to process Your Content solely to operate and secure the Service. We and our licensors retain all rights in the Service, its software, and the BRONTIR brand; you may not use our marks without permission.

6. Fees

Paid plans, pricing, and billing terms (where offered) are described on our website at brontir.com. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing on reasonable notice. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.

Where the Service offers prepaid credits or a funded account balance, any funds you add are valid for 12 months from the date they are added. Any funds not used within that period expire and are forfeited, and are not refundable or transferable, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

7. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, and may introduce or change usage limits, at any time. We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, legal or security risk, or abuse. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we handle any remaining data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BRONTIR will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the total amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold BRONTIR harmless from claims, losses, and costs arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, your instructions, your use of retrieved data, or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law or third-party terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Harju County Court (Harju Maakohus) in Estonia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
